VR46 Racing says that Ducati is more interested in providing full factory support for Marco Bezzecchi than Luca Marini.

Tavullia, rungan Sport — The Mooney VR46 Racing Satellite Team is bringing Satellite motorbikes for their two racers in MotoGP for the 2023 season.

Before in 2022, Luca Marini got manufacturer specs and Marco Bezzecchi go to the Satellite specs.

But, for the future, Ducati is more interested in providing full factory support to Bezzecchi, while Marini remains with the Satellite spec like this year.

The VR46 Racing team has been trying to get the same material for Marini and Bezzecchi, but the final decision rests with Ducati.

“Yes, we want technical support for both riders, but they are more interested in Bezzecchi,” say Uccio in an interview with Speedweek.com.

“So the idea is to get more factory support for Bezzecchi.

Then this is also a decision problem for Marini, but this decision is more in the hands of Ducati than on our side,” clear the italian man.

It is also rumored that Bezzecchi will move to the Prima Pramac Racing Satellite team, where he will have the full support of the manufacturer.

VR46 himself wants Bezzecchi to stay in the team at this time, but with a direct contract from the manufacturer, as well as the supply of factory motorbikes.

But on the other hand VR46 would be happy if Bezzecchi moved, because their goal is to create drivers who can break into the factory team.

In the first half of 2023, Bezzecchi managed to place in the top three Ducati riders, entering the title battle.

If he looks better with his performance continuing to climb, it is not impossible for Bezzecchi to be eyed by the main Bologna factory team. (rs/gp)
