Jakarta – David Beckham says that the Glazers should immediately sell Manchester United. He insists there needs to be a change at Old Trafford.
United’s takeover bid is about to enter its ninth month, with the fan base, bidders and Erik ten Hag frustrated by the continued delay in a decision.
After several waves of bidding after announcing they were seeking investment through a potential sale in November, the Glazers have yet to find a solution.
Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe are fighting for the reins at Old Trafford.
Sheikh Jassim wants a full sale and has promised to pay off United’s debt through his newly founded Nine Two Foundation.
Meanwhile, Ratcliffe is eyeing a majority stake, allowing Joel and Avram Glazer to retain about 20 percent of the club’s shares.
However, fans and parties alike seem to be in the dark about the Glazer family’s thinking, and Beckham believes it’s time for a change.
