The Cogolludo City Council, within the framework of the state pact against gender violence, convened a self-defense class a few days ago, which has been taught by the Galapagos Judo School in the gym of the ducal villa.
In addition, the development of the activity has also had the collaboration of the Gayuba Association.
It took place in the Cogolludo gym, and was free for the eight students who followed them. They were taught by two teachers from the Guadalajara club, José Andrés Ramos and Guadalupe Llamas.
In an intense two-hour session, the students learned the characteristics and fundamentals of self-defense, as well as legal aspects related to it.
From a practical point of view, the instructors showed the students how to interact with the aggressor to handle situations of fear or blockade; also techniques such as the guard position, displacement, dodges and blocks, blows, pressures and projections or how the means at their disposal must be used to defend themselves.
