The NBA 2K series turns 25 this year and Publisher 2K is celebrating that with the release of NBA 2K 24. On the occasion of the anniversary, the focus on the cover is none other than a basketball legend Kobe Bryant.
Meanwhile, NBA 2K24 will be released on 8. September for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and the Nintendo Switch. As in previous years, the entire platform range is covered again. What is new is that NBA 2K24 is the first time Cross-Play will support, albeit only between PS5 and Xbox Series X | S
NBA 2K24: Three Editions at Release
On the occasion of Kobe Bryant on the cover, it will be the game mode in NBA 2K24 Mamba Moments where you can reenact the rise of the later basketball superstar. With ProPlay the developers have also worked on a technology that is supposed to transfer real NBA recordings to the gameplay. The makers want to reveal how this works in detail before the release.
In 2023, NBA 2K24 will appear in three different editions, which differ from each other as follows:
Kobe Bryant Edition: The Standard Edition costs EUR 69.99 (PC, PS5, XOne, Switch) to EUR 79.99 (PS5, Xbox Series X | S) and quite simply contains the full version of the basketball simulation.Black Mamba Edition: This version costs 99.99 euros on all platforms and, in addition to the full version, also includes 100,000 VC, 15,000 MyTeam points, a 2K24 option pack box, 10 box MyTeam promo packs, Kobe Bryant Sapphire card, 1 diamond shoe, 1 Ruby Coach, 2 Hour Double XP for MyCareer, 2 Hour Double XP for MyTeam, 10x 6 MyCareer Skill Boosts, 10x 3 Gatorade Boosts, 4 Kobe Bryant T-Shirts for My Player, 2K24 Backpack, 2K24 E -Skateboard and 2K24 arm cuffs.25th Anniversary Edition: That version is available for 149.99 euros for all platforms except the Nintendo Switch. The highlight of the version is certainly the 12-month subscription to the NBA League Pass, which allows you to follow the American bastketball pro live. There’s also a little more of the digital bonuses included in the Black Mamba Edition.
However, the 25th Anniversary Edition is only available until 10. September, after which it disappears from the digital shelves. A physical copy of this special edition will not be offered. If you don’t like basketball, you can jump into EA Sports FC 24 at the end of September, the successor to the FIFA series.
