Bryce Young Signs Record-Breaking Contract with Carolina Panthers, Becomes Highest-Paid Rookie

When Bryce Young was drafted by the Carolina Panthers with the first overall pick in the last NFL Draft, it was known that the quarterback would be the rookie with the highest contract.

Now, the Panthers announced that the Alabama graduate signed his contract with the team. According to the NFL Network report, the agreement is for four years and will receive a total of 37.96 million dollars guaranteed. Of that total, Young will receive $24.6 million in a signing bonus.

His numbers and his ability to escape pressure during his college tenure made him the most attractive prospect. So much so that the Panthers gave multiple draft picks and wide receiver DJ Moore to climb to the top spot.

During the two years he started with the Crimson Tide, Young had 8,356 passing yards and 80 passing touchdowns. In addition, he was the Heisman Trophy winner at the end of the 2021 college football season.
