Bradley Beal Aims to Return to All-Star Level with Phoenix Suns

After eleven years with the Wizards, 23-24 will be the first season outside of Washington for Bradley Beal. The shooting guard has reached some Suns in which the expectations will be very high and in which, after many years pulling the bandwagon, he will cease to be the main reference, which has led him to be asked about his goals on an individual level. And in this sense, it is clear that being the third sword will not make him relax.

“I haven’t thought much about it yet, but I think I would say that my most important individual goal is to return to being one of the best players in the league on both sides of the field,” he said in a statement to Deyscha Smith, a journalist for SLAM. “I want to show that I can compete at the highest level in really important matches. Playing in the playoffs, winning playoff games, going through rounds…»

“I want to get back to my All-Star level, because I truly believe that’s the type of player I am: an All-NBA, an All-Star,” he continued. “And I have a great group around me that will push me to try to be that every day, and this opportunity excites me. I’m going to be surrounded by well-focused players who are going to try to get me to bring out my best version every night.”

Beal was for several years one of the most lethal scorers in the competition, averaging 30.5 and 31.3 points per game in the 19-20 and 20-21 seasons respectively, but in the last two years he has seen something less aggressive and his averages have dropped remarkably. Could his move to Phoenix bring him back to the league’s elite? Surrounded by Durant and Booker it’s hard to imagine his numbers being Washington’s, but if his hunger returns to what it once was, he can turn Arizona into a very difficult attack to contain.
