final whistle Final score 1:1

90+3′ Borussia comes to a conclusion again, the keeper lets the ball clap, but then has it safe.

90′ Wegberg gets another good chance, but Wegberger narrowly misses his teammate’s cross and Borussia can then defuse it.

88′ Neuhaus takes heart and pulls from a good 17 meters on goal. However, his ball is deflected unfavorably by his own man, so that VfL fail to score again and the ball lands just wide of the goal.

82′ After interaction between Telalovic and Ullrich, the youngster tries his luck and crosses to the right side. However, the wind carries the ball into the goal! 1:1!

Goal for Borussia!

80′ Neuhaus tries his luck again and comes to an end shortly before the sixteenth. Again, the ball is not hit well enough and lands well over the goal.

77′ Wegberg-Beeck again with relief and a corner kick, VfL keeper Nicolas comes out of the gate and boxes the ball out of the danger zone.

74′ As in the first round, Borussia is the dominant team, Wegberg, on the other hand, hardly takes place anymore and limits the performance as far as possible to defending. Nevertheless, the regional league team is still in the lead.

72′ Neuhaus comes to an end, but does not hit the ball fully and is also in reserve, so that it lands well over the box.

67′ Drink break again!

66′ The ball lands again at Hack, who this time does not complete it himself, but is looking for Telalovic. However, his pass is a bit too sloppy, so the attacker does not reach the ball in time and the chance goes to waste.

64′ In the second round, the hosts currently only have chances on the counterattack. The two chances the team had were worth seeing though.

63′ Next Graduation! Hack tries his luck again, this time from a distance! However, the FC Wegberg-Beeck keeper can clarify again.

62′ Ngoumou again, this time with a big chance! However, the ball again does not want to go over the line and is instead cleared by a defender from the hosts.

61′ Ngoumou asserts himself on the right and finishes under pressure. The ball lands next to Wegberger’s box.

60′ Another foal graduation! This time Hack tries his luck, but Wegberg’s goalkeeper steers the game device over the goal.

57′ Ullrich crosses from the left to Hack, whose header flies in a high arc over the home side’s box.

55′ Counterattack by the hosts: Hasani asserts himself on the left and finishes, goalkeeper Nicolas clears for a corner kick. As a result, it poses no danger.

54′ The ball bounces off the hand of a defender in the Wegberg penalty area, but referee Heinen allows play to continue.

51′ By the way, captain in the second round is Neuhaus.

50′ Hack kicks a free kick that almost lands on Friedrich’s head. However, a few centimeters are missing in the end.

47′ Seoane has completely switched once. Here is the line-up for the second round:

Borussia: Nicolas – Walde, Friedrich, Fraulo, Ullrich – Reitz, Neuhaus – Ngoumou, Wolf, Hack – Telalovic

46′ go on! The second half in the Waldstadion is on!

Half-time score 1:0

45+1′ Break! With the score of 1:0 for the hosts, it goes into the cabins. Will Borussia have more luck in the second round in front of the opposing goal?

43′ Ranos again with the chance to equalize – but unfortunately without luck.

40′ One turn, one take, goal! After a cross from the left, the ball reaches Kleefisch, who takes it from the turn and converts it with an ice-cold shot. No chance for Tobi Sippel in the Gladbach box. 1:0 for Wegberg-Beeck!

Goal! 1:0 for Wegberg-Beeck!

36′ Good through pass from Kemper to Borges Sanches! The subsequent cross can defuse Wegberg’s defense.

34′ Kleefisch is released on the left edge of the penalty area, but Digberekou can clear the corner for a corner, which does not lead to a goal for the hosts.

32′ Another 100%! Herrmann gets the ball free in front of the goal, but fritters it away! A pity! A goal before the break would have done Gladbach good!

28′ Shortly before the edge of the penalty area, Wegberg’s chicken brings down Borges Sanches and sees a yellow card for it. The resulting free kick comes dangerously towards the goal again, but does not result in anything.

27′ Wegberg has been keeping up well so far and has quite a lot of ball possession. However, the foals clearly had the better chances of scoring.

23′ Short drinking break for both teams and the referee team!

22′ Wegberg dangerously hits a corner into the penalty area, but the shot is blocked by the foals.

18′ Gladbach fights for the game device in the penalty area. The ball lands on Ranos, who sees Borges Sanches free-standing. The Luxembourg international volleys the ball towards the goal – but it lands over it instead of in it.

16′ Borges Sanches plays a sharp cross to Plea, which the Frenchman cannot use properly due to its power.

14′ Borussia is clearly dominating after a good quarter of an hour, only goals are still missing.

10′ Lainer stops a Wegberger attack, for which a free kick is called for the hosts. However, the chance ends again in ball possession for Borussia.

8′ A little later, Ranos, served by Herrmann, missed the next big opportunity to take the lead.

7′ Herrmann is served by Borges Sanches but misses the ball and ends up going wide.

6′ Lainer serves Plea with a cross, which runs in the direction of the goal, but in the end gets stuck on Wegberg keeper Meyer!

2′ Shortly thereafter, Jantschke defused Wegberger’s first shot attempt by Torrens with a header.

2′ Plea pulls through, but the attack is called off before things get really dangerous. An offside position had preceded it.

1′ Anyone hoping for an answer to the captain’s question today will be disappointed: veteran Tony Jantschke is leading the foals onto the field today. However, it is unlikely that he will also wear the bandage in the Bundesliga.
