Biella-Oropa Road Race Crowns Michele Fontana and Valeria Roffino as Winners

As per tradition, Biella-Oropa gave great emotions. The couple formed by Michele Fontana and Valeria Roffino won the 48th edition of the historic road race towards the Sanctuary (organized by GAC Pettinengo).

320 runners present in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, who faced a 12.2 km route this afternoon. For Fontana, who reached the finish line with a time of 46’53”, it is the first success with the new Atletica Vomano team; behind him the bearers of Pro Patria Milano, Andrea Astolfi (48’04”) and Renè Cuneaz (48’58”), Salvatore Gambino of Runners Milano (49’11”) and Matteo Lometti of Brancaleone Asti (49 ’41”).

Among the women, however, Roffino delle Fiamme Azzurre dominated with a time of 55’42”. Matilde Bonino from Athletica Stronese (58’28”), Iris Baretto from Athletica Saluzzo (58’38”), Roberta Vignati from Athletica Brescia (1h01’07”) and Jessica Oosterloo of the Climb Runners (1h02’24”). Finally, the Podistica Torino was awarded for the largest group with about 40 athletes.
