Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster understands why The Red Devils wanted a keeper who was good with his feet to distribute the ball, but felt the funds should be invested in improving other aspects of Ten Hag’s squad.

Foster spoke to The United Stand on Onana: “It’s no secret that he is a very, very modern goalkeeper, and nowadays it is needed. If Manchester United want to go forward and develop themselves, they have to sign Onana. The fact is that it’s that simple. It’s up to the other players to adapt to that, to being able to constantly build from behind and see it move forward like sweeper-keeper true.”
