Baskonia Signs Chima Moneke for Next Two Seasons, Bolstering Inner Game

He Baskonia has officially announced the signing of Chima Monk for the next two seasons. The Nigerian power forward, who played for the Sacramento Kings and AS Monaco last season, will thus return to the Endesa League. With BAXI Manresa he experienced his great explosion as a player, becoming the MVP of the BCL in the 2021-22 season.

Moneke is the fifth signing of the summer for Baskonia after Mannion, Miller-McIntyre, Rogkavopoulos and Diop.

Chima Moneke becomes a new Baskonia player for the next two seasons. The charismatic Nigerian interior (Abuja, 1995), 1.98 meters tall, lands in Vitoria-Gasteiz after playing in the EuroLeague Final Four last season and winning the French league with AS Monaco.

Moneke also has experience in the Endesa League where he averaged 14.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and a PIR of 19.2 credits in the 2021-22 season in the Baxi Manresa ranks, being chosen in the best five of the competition. That same year, Chima played in the final four of the Basketball Champions League and averaged a PIR of 16.1 points before signing for the Sacramento Kings of the NBA.
