Association de Basketball Laval to Represent Region at Under Armour’s The One Six Youth Basketball Tournament

The Association de Basketball Laval (ABL) will represent the region at the Under Armour’s The One Six youth basketball tournament, which takes place from July 17 to 19 in Las Vegas.

Following the performances and results of the Nobel Elite teams, which were part of the American Under Armor Future circuit in the summer, the ABL was invited to participate in the prestigious invitational tournament.

The Laval men’s under-14 team will be made up of 12 players who will try to perform well on American soil. These are Lohann Aka, Shayne Tyler Bernavil, Joshua Charlotin, Mikayil-Ylan Cisse, Joyson Evens Jean-Baptiste, Raphaël Leguerrier, Raphaël Manika, Marvin Métellus, Nathan-Gabriel Pelissier, Qwanell Pierre, Javier Polo and Ethan Remy.

They will be led by head coach Bobby Miller, as well as his assistants Schubert Rémy and Hans Charlotin.

“We are honored by this prestigious invitation, but above all we are proud of the accomplishments of our athletes and coaches throughout the three weekends of competition,” said Emmanuel Borno, director of administration of the ABL, in a press release. It is a great reward for the first year of the Nobel Elite teams of our organization.”

These same formations are elite level summer teams that participate in various provincial and national competitions from the pool of athletes established in the various neighborhoods of the region. They are made up of young people from the mini category (10-11 years old) to the juvenile category (16-17 years old).

Remember that the mission of the Association de Basketball Laval goes beyond the elite teams. It also aims to develop young people through recreational and competitive civilian teams. (N.P.)
