ASJ Soyaux announces its disappearance

The announcement was expected and unfortunately it came this Thursday. ASJ Soyaux announced via a press release the disappearance of its club. Relegated to the second division after his last place in D1 Arkema, Soyaux had also been excluded from all national championships by the DNCG.

“It is with deep emotion that we announce today the disappearance of the ASJ Soyaux club. On behalf of our President, Mr. Benoît Lepatissier, we would like to express our gratitude to each of you for the support given to the club throughout this adventure.

Founded in 1968, ASJ Soyaux disappeared after 55 years of existence. One of the biggest clubs in France, Soyaux managed to stay in the top flight for 35 seasons in a row, between 1975 and 2010. The club was crowned French champion in 1984.
