Until today, each team that visited the Nuevo Gasómetro arrived with a very difficult mission: to convert against San Lorenzo as a visitor. The team led by Rubén Darío Insua made their stadium a great fortress, and although it was difficult for the locals to find the opposite goal at times, they made sure that their defense, made up of Augusto Batalla in a moment of splendor and Gastón Hernández, Gastón Campi, Rafael Pérez and Federico Gattoni (he has already left for Seville), did not leave even the slightest space for the rival forwards. Even towards the end of the first half, San Lorenzo began to accumulate their own chances of scoring.
