Arema FC Honors Kanjuruhan Tragedy Victims with New Jersey Inscription

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA– Arema FC club displays the inscription 135 on the new jersey that will be worn in League 1 this season. The writing is written in Javanese script.

The inclusion of the article 135 is intended to commemorate the victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy on October 1, 2022.

“There is writing 135 using Javanese script, the purpose of which is to commemorate the victims of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy. We only put it on the blue jersey because we were wearing a home jersey at the time of the tragedy,” Arema FC General Manager Muhammad Yusrinal Fitriandia was quoted as saying on the Twitter account @FaktaSepakbola.

He added that the AremaFC team had to fight for their supporters who died in the sad tragedy of Indonesian football.

“We have to fight for our fans and this jersey pretty much represents the strong will to achieve the best results,” he continued.

Responding to this, comic Arie Kriting considered this to be unreasonable. According to him, the spirit of hundreds of victims should not be carried by the players to the field.

“Ke*t! Why bring the spirit of 135 victims to the players on the field,” he wrote.

Arie believes that the main thing that needs to be paid attention to is bringing justice to the 135 victims who currently have not met a bright spot.

“The main thing is to bring justice to the 135 victims who until now have not been seen at all,” he continued.

Indah Permatasari’s husband also criticized this action because it turned a tragedy into a business field.

“How come tragedy is used for business. Fill it (shame),” he concluded.

Arie’s opinion was later approved by many other Twitter users.
