Magnus White, a 17-year-old American cycling champion, died during road training on Saturday when he was hit by a vehicle, the United States Cycling Federation said in a statement on Sunday.
White, a member of the United States team, was due to participate in the junior race at the Cyclo-Cross Worlds on August 10 in Glasgow. He was hit from behind by a vehicle near his home in Boulder, Colorado.

United States junior cyclo-cross champion in 2021, White had participated in the World Cyclo-cross of this age category in 2022 and 2023.
