Just before the second half began, music was booming out of the loudspeakers in Melbourne’s Rectangular Stadium with lots of bass. The German national team was already ready for the continuation of this football game, and Alexandra Popp moved to the rhythm on the spot, as if she were just getting into the groove on a club dance floor. The fact that she was caught by the camera had less to do with her talent for movement than with her performance in the first half.
