Adrian Mannarino’s very good grass season continues. The 35-year-old Frenchman reached his 13th final after beating his compatriot Ugo Humbert in two sets (6-4, 6-3) in the semi-finals of the ATP 250 tournament in Newport on Saturday evening. He thus has a second final on grass this season, after the one disputed and lost against Christopher Eubanks in Mallorca at the beginning of the month. He had also released some great performances, notably eliminating Daniil Medvedev at ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Taylor Fritz at Queen’s.
Saturday evening, the Francilien (35 years old) showed more solidity than his younger brother (25 years old), in particular in the service, where Humbert was struggling, showing barely more than 50% of first balls. In his characteristic style, Mannarino was much more regular in his strikes, forcing Humbert to give up the first set after 57 minutes of play.

Mannarino will face in the final on Sunday the winner of the match between the two Americans John Isner (38) and Axel Michelsen (18).
