Monaco Tribune lists the major green spaces where you can find peace in the Principality.
The Saint-Martin gardens are located on the Rock, opposite the Cathedral of Monaco and extend to the Oceanographic Museum. Stroll through these soothing, flower-filled gardens. The place is full of small alcoves, where you can sit on a bench and enjoy a moment of calm.

If you continue on your way, you will see the statue of lovers and its flower bed. Further on, after passing under several elongated trees, which have a certain charm, why not join Prince Albert I on his boat? The Statue is installed at the edge of the park, taking advantage of a bow-shaped space where it is possible to sit. Before your eyes, the immensity of the sea as far as the eye can see.

Located on the Terraces of Fontivielle, the UNESCO garden is smaller than the two previous ones but offers very rich vegetation. It is one of the places favored by the workers of the district who come to enjoy their lunch in the shade of the trees on one of the many benches of the place. The view of the Port of Fontvieille is also worth the detour.

A unique rose garden
Let’s stay in this big neighborhood and move towards Princess Grace Rose Garden, located in the Fontivielle Landscape Park. Here, less grass but more, many more roses. The rose garden takes on the appearance of an English garden with its large circular paths and its benches scattered here and there. On both sides, several thousand plants project their magnificent reflections in the eyes of visitors. More than 300 varieties of roses are listed there. A small haven of peace.

Having fun with the kids
On the heights of the Principality, Princess Antoinette Park is perhaps the most popular with locals. On several floors, this large green space offers several facilities for the public: A sports ground, two badminton courts and even ping-pong tables; an 18-hole clay mini-golf course and a mini-farm with chickens, ducks, goats, guinea pigs and rabbits. It is also here that each year, the Monegasques and the Princely Family gather around a picnic.

Rest near the Casino de Monte-Carlo
Located between the Tourist Office and the Casino de Monte-Carlo, the garden “La Petite Afrique” with exuberant essences and exotic plants rubs shoulders the Boulingrins garden and its beautiful water jets. These two spaces were designed by the French landscaper and botanist Edouard André at the end of the 19th century.
