”You stink of piss, idiot”: a nanny is trapped by a microphone hidden in a comforter

At the hearing, the Correctional Court of Bourgoin-Jallieu, in the south-east of France, played extracts from these audio tapes. On these recordings, we hear him insulting and humiliating two 2-year-old children. We hear him yelling for long moments at the two crying children and making insulting and demeaning remarks, such as “you stink of piss, idiot” or “dirty pig”.

The nanny, who initially denied the facts while in police custody, finally admitted the facts and expressed the “shame” she felt following this “slippage”. She also explains that she was “overwhelmed”, according to the Dauphiné Libéré.
