Will Márquez finish the season with Honda? – Tear it off, for God’s sake!

It seems like the perfect storm, the one that has been formed around Honda and Marc Márquez. A storm, whose consequences are unpredictable, and on this occasion I do not believe that the maxim that after the storm comes calm is fulfilled. I am very much afraid that in Marc Márquez’s box there is not, nor will there be, calm, but rather that a recently declared war is being lived.

The fall in Muguello in the race, and all the others that Marc has had to suffer this weekend at Sachsering will precipitate the events. Márquez has had an average of five crashes per day in one of his favorite circuits, the one in Germany, where he has almost always won without opposition, something that aggravates the situation.

With Joan Mir out due to falls, with Rins with the tibia and fibula broken by fall, and with Nakagami also on the ground in Germany, Honda cannot attribute the problem to Márquez, the problem is the bike. An unpredictable bike that doesn’t run, is the slowest on the grid, doesn’t turn and is treacherous. A time bomb that the eight-time world champion has grown tired of. The last fall he suffered in Germany in practice on Sunday caused him a small fracture in his hand and a contusion on his foot. The grand prix doctors gave him the right to run, but he decided not to.

Honda took it upon himself to show his anger in a statement clarifying that the decision not to start the race had been made by the pilot, not by the brand. Since then, a sepulchral silence has been installed around Marc’s closest team. Rumors are many, since Honda is going to withdraw from the World Championship, setting a precedent in the Motorcycle World Championship, it is the most successful brand in the championship, until it will be Marc himself who refuses to get back on the bike and wait until next year for KTM to make room for it in its official structure.

There are also many who say that Márquez has a contract this season and the one that comes with Honda, Alonso also had it at Ferrari and he terminated the contract of an entire Ferrari. The problem that those who say that Márquez will continue at Honda point out is that KTM has tied its two official riders, Binder and Miller, and that they would have to put a fifth bike on the grid, since his satellite bikes are also busy. But, if KTM was about to make room for Pedro Acosta so that next year he would race in the premier class? Are they not going to make room for Mar Márquez?

I don’t think the Austrian brand has any problem relocating riders to give entry to the ilerdense. And look at things, when the Honda was the bike to beat, the person who contributed the most to its development was a certain Dani Pedrosa, now that the KTM is the only bike that seems to be able to continue and face the Ducati it is Dani again Pedrosa the greatest architect of the development of the motorcycle.

I don’t think it will take us long to find out what Márc’s future is going to be, I don’t know if in Assen where the next Grand Prix will be held, or Silverstone, but that the relationship and trust are broken, that is evidence.
