Wiener Austria has signed Marvin Potzmann on a free transfer. The defensive winger has signed a two-year contract with an option, the Violets announced on Tuesday. The 29-year-old Potzmann has been in the service of LASK for the past four seasons, in the Admiral Bundesliga the long-time professional has also worked for Mattersburg, Grödig, Sturm Graz and Rapid.

Sports director Manuel Ortlechner was happy about a “valuable team player” at Austria. Potzmann, who can be used on the left and right, gives the Viennese more squad density on the wings. The Viennese himself stated that he was convinced of Austria’s path. Well-known faces are Andreas Gruber, James Holland, Reinhold Ranftl and Marko Raguz, with whom Potzmann has already played at LASK.
