Mixed Creole judo team gets bronze in the CAC

It is the first medal obtained by men and women together for the country

Venezuela achieves another medal in the Salvadoran fair.

28/06/23.- The national judo team, in the mixed branch, won the bronze medal at the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Sports Games San Salvador 2023.

This is the first medal achieved by a Venezuelan team made up of male and female athletes in this edition of the continental tournament, after beating Panama 4-0 in their key.

Competitors Kady Cabezo, Sergio Mattey, Elvismar Rodríguez and Carlos Páez won their respective bouts over the Panamanian contenders.

Iván Salas, Amarantha Urdaneta, Antonio Rodríguez and Luis Amezquita were also present.

In the Creole reserve, the judokas Fabiola Díaz, Jonhelius Patete, María Giménez and Willis García.

Venezuela began with a victory against Mexico, with a result of 4 to 3 in favor of ours; and then fell in the semifinals against the Cubans 4-1, before looking for bronze against Panama.
