Urbania basketball, coach Borsella ”Match after match we became aware and in the end we were rewarded”

“It doesn’t happen often to describe such a generous season of results. The one that is drawing to a close, for Urbania Basketball, was an exceptional year, just like those that give the world of food and wine fine wines. We could mention the deeds of various teams, but in this post we want to focus on the prestigious victory achieved by the promotion group, a result obtained on the field, which rewards the passion and dedication of the many protagonists.

“Let’s start with the 3 reasons that inspired us to create this Project (with a capital P)” – they point out Gian Paolo Tiberi e Michele Campanathe “engine” managers – “1. To allow young people who finish their youth path to continue playing in Urbania. 2. To raise the boys in a senior league to prepare them for the first team. 3. To allow all the senior Urbanians who play outside, to find a basketball position within the friendly walls”

These are the strong points of the project that remain firm. Then the passion for the ball and the quality of the work produced, after only three years, a prestigious jump in category.

“It wasn’t planned. We always tried to train at our best trying to treasure our qualities” – he explains coach Borsella – “Match after match we became aware and in the end we were rewarded. An enormous satisfaction. I want to thank the club, the President (to whom we wish everyone a birthday), the managers Tiberi, Campana and whoever dedicated the I thank all the guys, starting with those who got injured, those who grit their teeth despite their ailments, those who tiptoed into the race with seriousness and a great sense of teamwork. I am immensely grateful to those of them who had to put up with me, to those who played little and continued to give their contribution. Then a round of applause to those who made the difference on the pitch. Last but not least, thanks go to my collaborators Menciassi and Violins, without which this undertaking would not have been possible.” From the words of the coach leaked joy and satisfaction for a great season. Now the ball passes to the Club which will have to choose and organize itself to still experience exciting sporting years”
