Goalscorer Harry Kane is a club legend at Tottenham Hotspur and is married to his childhood sweetheart. The footballer courted by FC Bayern Munich likes a special bedtime treat.
England superstar Harry Kane is to switch from Tottenham Hotspur to FC Bayern Munich to solve the big center forward problem with the German record champions. But how does the 29-year-old footballer tick on and off the field?

Kane is two-footed, strong in the air, bulky at 1.88 meters and a player with a goal instinct. In the last season alone he scored 30 goals in 38 league games, only Erling Haaland (36 goals) from champions Manchester City was better. With a total of 213 goals, he is only behind Alan Shearer (260) in the all-time list of the top Premier League goalscorers. In 2016, 2017 and 2021 Kane was top scorer in the Premier League. He also scores reliably in the national team. He scored 58 goals in 84 appearances. This makes the captain the top scorer for the Three Lions.
Lewandowski successor
Kane could become Lewandowski’s successor for Bayern Munich. Just like the Pole, who is around five years his senior, Kane takes on the role of a classic nine on the field. With their goal strength, both are among the best center forwards in the world. “When I look at the nines in the world I don’t see anyone better than that,” said England manager Gareth Southgate of Kane.
Nine with the number ten
Kane not only fills the role of nine at his club. In the English national team, the number nine even adorns his shirt. At Tottenham Hotspur, however, he was able to fulfill a dream with a different number: “Growing up, (Roy) Keane and (Teddy) Sheringham were my idols and they wore the number 10 shirt, so it was always my dream to to wear it too,” said the 29-year-old.

Kane has never kicked off the island before. Born in London in 1993, he found his way to his hometown-based Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in 2004. He went through all youth teams and signed his first professional contract in July 2010. “Most of my family were Spurs fans and I grew up 15 minutes from the stadium so I’ll always be a Spurs fan,” the forward said of his heart club. As a young professional, he was loaned out several times to gain match practice at smaller clubs such as Leyton Orient and Millwall FC. Since becoming a mainstay at Spurs, Kane has received several lucrative transfer offers. But he resisted the temptation. “I want to be a club legend,” Kane said in 2015.

Kane has been married to his childhood sweetheart, fitness trainer Katie Goodland, since 2017. The two met while they were still at the Chingford Foundation School in London, which David Beckham also attended. In 2017, Kane Goodland proposed to the Bahamas. The wedding followed in the summer of 2019. “Finally I can marry my best friend! I love you,” Kane wrote at the time for a wedding photo on Instagram. The couple have three children together. The family also includes two Labradors, Brady and Wilson, who Kane, as an NHL fan, allegedly named after football players Tom Brady and Tavon Wilson.
“For me, the most surprising thing about Harry is not just football, but how he is as a person. He’s a really good person, a good man,” said his former coach Antonio Conte of the striker. During football season, Kane abstains from alcohol altogether, drinking a cup of milk with two sugars before bed. After a good game, he likes to reward himself with pizza, steak or fries.
