Thibaut Pinot, last Lap: “His thing was frogs, squirrels or fishing”

For nearly 15 years, he has been our best early summer friend. The one that thrills an entire country when it gets up on the pedals and goes on the attack. The one who makes us cry when bad luck (or reality) inevitably ends up falling on him. Child prodigy turned romantic climber, Thibaut Pinot (33) has long carried on his shoulders the (too) heavy sign of the heir, the one who could be the first Frenchman to win the Tour since Hinault, in 1985. It is for that he has become the darling of the French public, the most beloved runner of the 21st century. But above all because he always seemed sincere, simple, honest in his effort, human. Before he takes the start of his last Tour de France, Le Parisien dedicates this series to him in four episodes.
