The sub-13s of CB Soria triumph in Palencia

On Saturday the youngest of the Soria-CS24 Badminton Club academy They competed in Palencia in the last tests before the summer break. The result was frankly satisfactory, winning three golds and three bronzes, to which was added a third place in the under-17 category.

Iker González became the great winner of the day by winning the two golds in the two modalities in which he participated, individual and double. After getting the best of himself in the quarterfinals and semifinals where he had to win the matches in three sets, the match in the fight for gold dispatched him by a comfortable 21-12 and 21-9. In this same individual table, Aarón Barrera would win the bronze medal.

These same players were also protagonists in the men’s doubles of the category since they won the victory, winning all their matches by two sets to nil. His clubmates, Álvaro Gómez and Daniel Marín got third place.

The third gold came from the racket of Jimena Ayllon within the women’s individual. In great shape, the young woman from Soria won her fifth title of the season. She would complete her competition obtaining the bronze medal in the mixed doubles of her category.

Finally, Isabel Corchon and Carmen Gomez, belonging to the sub15 category, enrolled in the Palencia test within the sub17 category, in order to gain experience for their move to said category next season. Despite the age difference, the Sorianas returned with a third place in the women’s doubles.
