The NBA Releases Revised Salary Cap Estimates for 23-24 Season

The NBA has sent teams an update to its estimates for the 23-24 season salary caps. According to Tim Bontemps, a journalist for ESPNthe league has announced that it calculates that the salary cap will be set at 136 million dollars and the limit of the luxury tax at 165, figures that increase by 2 and 3 million respectively with respect to the projections that were made during the past month of September.

However, the league has wanted to emphasize that these data, even though they are fairly reliable estimates, are not yet official. The final limits will be known when the NBA’s annual financial audit concludes, something that must occur before June 30.

During the 22-23 academic year, the salary cap was set at 123.67 million, and the luxury tax at 150.3. According to the new collective agreement, these limits can only grow by a maximum of 10% each season, so that this time they could reach 136 and 165.3 million, but this rule does not come into force until next summer.
