An assembly, which was held on June 2 in the association hall, bringing together the main clubs of our department: Brax, Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Ste-livrade, Tonneins, Agen, Laroque, Nérac, Miramont-de-Guyenne and of course… Prayssas!
A dozen clubs in Lot-et-Garonne and 800 licensees
The meeting opened with a few words of welcome from the president of the Prayssas club Vincent Arrecgros, in the presence of Wolfram Maury, president of the badminton federation of Lot-et-Garonn, and Guillaume Guerder, president of the Regional League New Aquitaine badminton club.
After a speech by the president of the Ligue de badminton Nouvelle-Aquitaine, with satisfaction for the dynamism of this Lot-et-Garonne federation, he defined the expectations and commitments of the league.
Then the president of the federation explained the policy of the federation and presented the moral and financial balance sheets which were unanimously approved:
“Badminton is doing well in Lot-et-Garonne and the clubs are trying, through tournaments and various events, to attract new eyes and new players”, he explained in particular.
The year 2022 was a rich year in terms of events and their results. The calendar for next season is already being drawn up and most of the dates fixed.
The Codep47, under the impetus of Gaël, the president of the Agen club, relaunched the “youth commission” with numerous tournaments but also advanced training courses, one of which was held in Prayssas.
For the “interclub” part, it is Marmande who finished first in Pre-Regional and will move up to Regional level next year, thus joining Agen and perhaps Villeneuve-sur-Lot at the next level.
At departmental level, good results with Agen winning Group 1 and Prayssas Group 2.
At the end of the meeting, the federal office submitted its resignation for new elections as provided for in the statutes. He was re-elected unanimously headed by President Wolfram Maury, who has masterfully led Codep47 for many years already.
It was after sharing a good meal that the club presidents separated.
