The former coach of Palamós, Roberto Alvarezhas died aged 80 a Barcelona. The historic technician born in Villamartín del Sil (Leon) had a long career on the benches with great seasons in Lleida and promotions to Second with el levant (89-90) and Second B with the award (98-99) as some of the most prominent landmarks. Álvarez managed Palamós in the Second Division in the 1990-91 season, but the poor results made the board of the Baix-Empordà club replace him with Alfonso Barasoain. Terrassa, Poblenc, Ponferradina, Gramenet, Teruel or Reus are some of the teams he also coached.
