The Federal League Playoffs: Seven Teams Remain in Contention for Promotion in Argentine Basketball

The Federal League playoffs continue their course, with only seven teams still in competition in search of the two promotions to Liga Argentina that will also place them in the final of the contest.

After almost five months of competition, the third category of Argentine basketball reaches its definition stage. 94 teams were left on the road and only seven continue on the road to promotion to the Argentine League.

The most advanced of them is Amancay de La Rioja, which swept Talleres de Tafí Viejo and was left with the Cuyo-NOA interconference. El Canario will play the final of the North against Tokio de Posadas or Provincial, with one of the two promotions at stake. So far, the series is led by the missionary team 1-0. The second game will be tonight in Rosario.

The series to the best of three for a place in the second division of the Argentine basketball is agreed to begin on Friday, July 30. It will continue on July 4, and, if necessary, there will be a third game the next day.

On the other hand, in the south there are still no defined finalists. Ferro de General Pico beat Unión de Mar del Plata in an agonizing way at the Colosito, but they will face each other again this Saturday on the Celeste court. Ferro’s or Unión’s rival will be the winner of the tie that has not yet started between Racing and Sportivo Suardi. It will start on Saturday in Avellaneda and will continue in Suardi on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 if necessary.

The South conference final will start a few days later than the North. It is scheduled to start on Sunday, July 2. Game 2 will be on Thursday the 6th and if a third is needed it will be on Friday the 7th.

As for the final of the tournament between the two promoted teams, it is estimated to start on July 12, even with its continuity to be defined.
