Tennis, French Open: Alex Zverev Mittwoch live im Free-TV & Stream | Sport

On the Philippe-Chartier court, the German French Open hope wants to move into the semifinals. Alexander Zverev (26) meets Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry (23) in the quarterfinals.

The pair of victories over Dimitrov and Tiafoe has propelled the 2021 Olympic champion into the last eight. There it is now against a supposedly smaller name.

“It will be a very difficult match. Etcheverry is an Argentinian clay court specialist who will go where it hurts,” Zverev warned before the meeting.

The 23-year-old is definitely up for the duel with Zverev. After reaching the quarter-finals, he announced: “I’m having a lot of emotions at the moment. […] This is the best moment of my life. Of course, the next round will be tough. Sascha Zverev has a lot more experience, I think, but I feel really good playing against him.”

Etcheverry is already hot for the game. “I’m playing incredible tennis this week and I just have to focus on my game and try to do the same thing I do every day,” explains the Argentine.

Before the French Open, Etcheverry was 49th in the world rankings, 22nd behind Zverev. The German hopeful will meet the Argentinian on Wednesday and try to make it through to the semi-finals.
