In her third and final match of Group F, Tan, 45th in the world, won in straight sets 21-11, 21-12 in 22 minutes against Finland’s Nella Nyqvest (BWF 407) in XX to sign a third victory in as many of meetings after beating the Italian Yasmina Hamza (BWF 120) and the Hungarian Vivien Sandorhazi (BWF 74). Earlier Wednesday, Julien Carraggi, 71st in the world and already qualified for the round of 16, also won his third and final group match with a victory in two sets (21-18, 21-17) against the Czech Jan Louda (BWF 55).
