The prize-giving ceremony of the Student Championships was held in a crowded Hall of Flags in Palazzo Zanca, conducted by the journalist Rachele Geraci.

At the opening, the Mayor of Messina greeted, with a brief speech, pupils and teachers, underlining the great commitment that, for over 50 years, the world of school and sport have put in place to allow many young people to participate in competitions , whose main purpose is that of participation and integration. The positive result, the success, however, represent an important added value.

For the municipal councilor for sport, Massimo Finocchiaro, the school has proven to be fully vital, but the municipality is no less, considering the commitment to improve the quantity and quality of the municipal sports facilities made available for the championships.
