St. Saviour. Judo: Anja is vice-champion of France

It was on the tatami mats of Clermont-Ferrand where more than 1,200 judokas were present that our two judokas from St-Sauveur went to face their counterparts.

Among the hundred or so judokas in his category, Ernest De Bouard, who trains every Monday in St-Sauveur, won 7 of his 8 fights to clinch a fine 3rd place in the France Espoir championship. As for Anja Loubiére (reigning French champion), he was close to imitating his club partner Nys Chadburn who had done the double. Indeed, author of a faultless course, he won his 8 fights, reached a final which he dominated, but a few seconds from the end, his opponent immobilized him on the ground. Anja Loubiere therefore ends vice-champion of France. Proud of this trophy, however, Anja was present the next day in St-Sauveur to present her medal during the children’s class. It should be noted that these 2 men’s medals are the only ones won in the entire Occitanie region, the village and the club of Saint-Sauveur are very proud of them.

Throughout France, Asnières and the Ours de Saint-Sauveur leave with 2 medals from the French U23 championships. A good omen before the French championships by club teams which will take place in 10 days in Paris. At the same time, the youngest and youngest will participate in the international tournament in Spain.
