Final of the French university championship: AS Rouen UC SSE 71-74 University of Dijon
The men’s basketball team from Rouen was on the hunt for a fifth French championship title but unfortunately missed the last step. It is exactly three small points that the Rouen basketball players will have missed during the final lost against the University of Dijon. A disappointment that could be read on the faces of the students who held their opponents high throughout the match.

The Rouen badminton players brought back two podiums from the French university championship. The Thomas Schmitt/Nathan Hucher pair took the bronze medal in the men’s doubles, narrowly missing out on the final with a three-set loss in the semis. The URN mixed team (in badminton team competitions are always mixed) also went for the bronze medal, allowing eight of its badminton players to climb on the 3rd step of the podium.

They were only three Rouen students to go to Sauxillanges for the French university trail championship, and Adelin Grenier came back with a beautiful silver medal, ahead of more than a hundred other competitors.

Quarter-final: AS Rouen UC SSE 2-0 University of Montpellier
Last year, the URN footballers finished vice-champions of France, losing in the final against… Montpellier. The Rouennais were able to take their revenge by dismissing the Montpellierans in the quarter-finals. They will meet the University of Orléans in the semi-final on June 7, before perhaps playing a new final against the winners of the match between Strasbourg and Créteil.

At the individual level, Rouen students struggled a bit. Among the women, Ambre Lambert, first student of the URN ranks 23rd in the eventing and 21st in the vault. Among men, Mathieu Lecomte also ranks 23rd in the eventing competition while Alix Chevalier takes 21st place in pommel horse.
In trampoline, Paul Rozier took 6th place, Emilie Bunel 8th place and the teams finished in 5th and 6th place.
On the other hand, the Rouen team of teamgym came to win a title of champion of France.
Athletics
French university championship in Salon de Provence
No medal for Rouen athletes this year. The best performances are to be credited to Sélina Leroy, 5th in the 3000m, and Alexandre Gand, 5th in the hammer throw.
