Special Olympics Andorra Returns from World Games with Impressive Medal Haul

The sports federation of Special Olympocs Andorra has returned from the world games in Berlin with three golds, one from Xavi Sánchez in judo, from Leticia Jales in bocce and Sandra Carvahalo in badminton; three silvers, for the pair of Letixia Jales and Jordi Tarifa in mixed doubles in bocce, Nàdia Roser in judo and Enric Adran in badminton, and three bronzes from Laia Rodríguez in rhythmic gymnastics. The national director of the federation, José Antonio Pérez, was “very satisfied” with the results achieved and assured that “we have met the objectives we had and we left Andorra excited”. The Andorran delegation was made up of thirteen athletes and Pérez emphasizes that all the athletes “tried to give the best of each of them”. The sports disciplines in which they participated are athletics, swimming, badminton, bocce, judo and rhythmic gymnastics.
