Spanish Adaptive Swimming Championship: Hearing Impaired Swimmer Alejandro Suárez Shines in Competition

The hearing impaired swimmer Alejandro Suárez participated this weekend in the Spanish Adaptive Swimming Championship that was held in the pool of the Ciudad de Cádiz Sports Complex. He began his championship by participating on Saturday in the 200-meter freestyle test in the morning, 400 freestyle in the afternoon to finish on Sunday morning with the 100 freestyle.

The competition had the participation of 204 swimmers, 136 boys and 68 girls from 54 clubs, and registered up to 17 national records. By Multidisability points, the absolute winners were Marta Fernández from Burgos from Club Deportivo Fusión de Valladolid, and Catalan Toni Ponce from Club Natación Vilafranca.

Alejandro’s next appointment with the competition will take place on the weekend of July 1 and 2 with the Open Community of Madrid for Inclusive Swimming, which will take place in the World-86 pool.
