Roger Federer Praises ‘Purely Incredible’ Novak Djokovic’s 23rd Grand Slam Win

Roger Federer praised Novak Djokovic after the Serbian’s 23rd Grand Slam title, won at Roland-Garros. During a meeting with the media in Halle, the Basel man said that ‘Nole’ is “purely incredible”.

What he did is naturally absolutely giant“, commented Federer (41), who ended his career in September 2022 after having notably won 20 Grand Slam titles.

When asked whether Djokovic could now be considered the greatest player of all time, the Swiss however kicked into touch. “It’s hard to say. I asked a friend which was harder, winning Wimbledon at 17 like Boris Becker or the French Open at 36 like Novak? I don’t know“, explained Federer.

A legend in his sport, Federer continues to receive accolades. The organizers of the Halle tournament awarded him a prize for his achievements in western Germany. “The maestro” won ten titles there, including three without losing a single round (2004, 2008 and 2017), winning 69 matches for only eight defeats.
