Rockets interested in three Celtics assistants

With the signing of Ime Udoka, the Rockets seem determined to continue replicating what was once the Celtics’ bench. According to Gary Washburn, a journalist for the Boston Globethe Texans have shown interest in getting three assistants from Boston, and in fact it is expected that they will certify their additions soon.

Said assistants are Ben Sullivan, Aaron Miles and Mike Moser, who already worked with Udoka during his season in charge of the Massachusetts team. His departure would join those of Will Hardy, who left the Celtics last year to become the Jazz coach, and Damon Stoudamire, who made the leap to college basketball, absences that left two gaps the franchise never filled. .

This time around, though, it would be inevitable to fill that slot, leaving management and Joe Mazzulla, if he’s still on the team, to rebuild his coaching corps. Meanwhile, in Houston they seem to be clear that much of the success of the Celtics in 2022 went through the work of the bench and they want to get all the talent possible in that area.
