Record-Breaking Heat in Huelva as El Granado Registers Highest Temperature in Spain

The high temperatures have been in the news this Saturday June 24 in Huelva, the municipality of El Granado has registered the highest temperature in Spain, exceeding 42 degrees. El Granado registers the highest temperature in Spain with 42.1º

The municipality of El Granado has registered this Saturday the highest temperature in all of Spain. According to the technical summary of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which collects the measurements from all the provincial stations, the town of El Andévalo has endured a temperature of 42.1º in the early afternoon.

For its part, the municipality of Almonte has remained the second highest temperature in all of Andalusia and third in Spain, according to Aemet, with a temperature of 41.4º at 3:40 p.m. on this first day of the weekend. At the state level, the figure for Almonte is only surpassed by the data of 41.5º registered in Badajoz.

Marta Aznar Tejero hits the target with the best cadet world record

The goalkeeper Marta Aznar Tejero (Gibraleón, Huelva, 2009) hit the target in the qualifying phase for the junior and cadet world championships to be held in Limerick (Ireland) from July 3 to 7, an appointment to which she will arrive with the best world record in the Olympic bow category, after obtaining 1,347 points in the double round of 144 arrows in 2×60 meters.

A ton of hashish distributed in some thirty bales has been intervened in a boat in an operation against drug trafficking by the Civil Guard and the Deputy Directorate of Customs Surveillance (DAVA) of the Tax Agency carried out this Friday in the Carreras de Isla estuary Cristina in a joint operation against drug trafficking off the coast of Huelva.

The events took place this Friday afternoon, after a suspicious recreational boat was detected in the vicinity of the island’s fishing port, in which, once inspected, some thirty bundles of hashish were found hidden in a double bottom expressly enabled to it in the helmet of the same.

A driver arrested after drunkenly breaking into the night race in Huelva

The Huelva Local Police have arrested the driver of a vehicle that broke into the closed route of the city’s night race last night, with a blood alcohol level that was four times the maximum allowed for driving.

On their social networks, the Police have reported that the driver accessed the race circuit and was heading “at high speed” towards about twenty runners on Avenida Federico Molina, at its corner with Pío XII. The agents managed to stop him in time, “putting his physical integrity at risk”, by placing one of them between the vehicle and the runners, while the other got into the car and managed to remove the ignition key.

An innovative system for the remote and continuous management of meters is launched that allows constant control of water consumption, being able to detect immediately, from leaks, to consumption peaks or improper uses, which means improving savings of water consumption in the city. The first antennas have already been installed, paving the way for the remote reading of all the meters of each hydraulic sector into which the city is divided, both domestic, commercial and industrial.
