Racing lost to Flamengo at the Maracana

Racing Club lost 2-1 to Flamengo in Brazil but remains in first place in Zone A, in a match played this Thursday at the Maracaná stadium in Rio de Janeiro, valid for the fifth day of the Copa Libertadores de América.

The goal for the Brazilian team was scored by Wesley after 36 minutes of the first half, while for the “Academy” Matías Rojas equalized after 4 minutes of the second stage and at 38 minutes midfielder Víctor Hugo gave the local victory.

Despite the defeat, Racing continues as the leader with 10 points, while “Fla”, led by Argentine Jorge Sampaoli, reached eight points after the victory and is the only guard. Ñublense, from Chile, has 5 units and Aucas, from Ecuador, 4.

The Rio de Janeiro team imposed the conditions of the game from the beginning and until the first quarter of an hour, without showing off but with control of the ball, although far from the goal defended by goalkeeper Gabriel Arias.
