Dominic Stricker (ATP 117) is still on course towards the Wimbledon main draw. The Bernese remained in the second qualifying round in the 6: 4, 6: 3 win over Argentinian Juan Pablo Ficovich (ATP 243) without losing a set. The last opponent of the Swiss in the fight for a place in the main tableau is the Italian Mattia Bellucci (ATP 160).
For Leandro Riedi (ATP 165), round 2 of the qualification meant the end of the line. The 21-year-old lost to the German Oscar Otte (ATP 230) after 111 minutes 3: 6, 6: 3, 3: 6.
