Porto Romano badminton champion

FIUMICINO – After winning the district and provincial stages, the team from the Porto Romano Institute of Fiumicino wins the regional final, defeating the teams by competing with a double three to zero, in the semifinals and in the final. In fact, school matches of Badminton are played over three games: mixed doubles, men’s singles and women’s singles.

The Porto Romano institute has been using this sport for some time in its training activities, proposing its practice both in the Motor Sciences curricular hours and in specific training sessions at the School Sports Centre. It is thanks to the commitment, passion and constancy of the athletes of the Badminton team of the school sports center that it was possible to achieve this important result. A fundamental aspect of the tournaments was the sporting spirit: the pupils themselves refereed the matches, in a climate of collaboration which never highlighted critical issues and which also led to making new friends.
