Manuel Gallardo, President of the Royal Spanish Hunting Federation

On May 28, he agreed with us about how harmful it is not to defend the rural world and carry out animalist policies that nobody shares or even understands, and that only benefit a minority that lives by criticizing, demonizing, and criminalizing groups, such as hunting, who have demonstrated their commitment to defending the natural environment and their contribution to the development and maintenance of our towns.

Certainly, the regional campaign was developed in a national key, it did not matter that in different territories an acceptable management was carried out. The weight of the policies that emerged from the Congress of Deputies undoubtedly weighed down non-urban candidates and also, although some may be surprised, urban candidacies. It is only necessary to analyze the results in the large provincial capitals.

The most relevant issue in these regional and municipal elections has been the collapse of Podemos. The purple formation has squandered the enormous capital that the Spanish gave it four years ago and has become an unpleasant and unsympathetic party. It has become so unfriendly that they have had to invent another name for the same dogs, but with different collars and now they call it Sumar Movement.

But Sumar is not a social or collective project, it is simply a sum of losers who need an electoral accommodation so as not to lose their way of life on the other hand, quite comfortable, installed in fierce criticism of those who do not agree with their ideas.

The hunting sector has suffered innumerable attacks from the animalist side, as well as from the socialist party, the Ministry of Ecological Transition, which has not understood anything and has contributed to the discredit of the conservation policies it has promoted, generating social problems such as wolf management and other disastrous initiatives, such as attempts to ban quail hunting.

The result in the regional elections has left no room for doubt, animal and conservationist radicalism is not well received by the majority of the Spanish population, since its consequences are totally negative for our natural environment and rural development. No one believes that the best thing for the environment in which we live is to continually prohibit traditional uses and customs, nor to put animals above the rights of people, because what this policy hides is nothing more than limiting individual freedoms and collective.

Now we embark on a new electoral date set for July 23, where the hunt will return to the polls, and it will be a decisive part of society for victory or defeat. It escapes no one that three or four million votes will tip the balance to one side or the other. We will never say who to vote for, but we will reveal who is against us, after each one decides the color of their ballot.
