NFL Runner Leonard Fournette’s Vehicle Catches Fire on Highway, Cause Unknown

It’s unclear what caused the NFL runner’s vehicle to catch fire on the highway

Fournette posted a video to his Instagram account Tuesday showing a burnt-out luxury pickup parked on the side of a highway. It is not clear what caused the vehicle to combust.

“Man it was one of those days but I would like to thank God my car caught fire while I was driving it. But I’m still blessed,” he wrote. Fournette on their social networks.

Fournette28 years old, was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last March. The veteran running back told the Tampa Bay Times that the withdrawal occurred at his request, and that there was no “hard blood” between him and the organization.

In the past offseason, the Bucs signed to Fournettefourth overall recruit of the 2017 NFL Draftto a three-year, $21 million deal, with the possibility of escalating to $24 million with incentives. Fournette told the Times that the withdrawal of Tom Brady was a factor in his decision to ask for his release from Tampa Bay.

Fournette rushed for 668 yards in 16 games, nine starts, for the Bucs in 2022. Additionally, he caught 73 passes for 523 yards out of the backfield. He scored a total of six touchdowns.

The veteran has rushed for 4,478 yards in 79 career games, 61 of them starts, over six seasons spread between the Jacksonville Jaguars (2017-19) y Tampa Bay. Also, he boasts 2,219 career receiving yards, and 41 total touchdowns, 34 rushing and seven receiving.
