MotoGP, Mugello – Pecco dominates at Mugello. Ducati mistress of the home Grand Prix

Miller starts very strong and takes the lead immediately at the first corner, but Bagnaia responds immediately on the outside and tries to impress his pace by running away immediately. Behind the battle between the Marquez and Marini brothers who battle and move into third position. Martin in the meantime tries to recover on Pecco. The Spaniard also sets the fastest lap in 1.46.8, moving within 4 tenths of Bagnaia.

Stable positions after seven laps but the scene is about Marc Marquez slipping off to Bucine after entering too wide. Bagnaia and Martin are always separated by a few tenths, while Luca Marini is further away at 1.5 seconds ahead of Alex Marquez and Zarco. Bezzecchi only ninth ahead of Morbidelli and Bastianini. A. Marquez also went down, thus leaving the podium to Marini and Zarco who fought blow by blow for third place, ahead of the pair of two KTMs in fifth and sixth position. Up front Bagnaia has a 1.5 lead over Martin who in turn has a 2 lead over his teammate.

Martin tries to recover in the finale, but it’s too late. Bagnaia triumphs and dominates at Mugello completing the perfect weekend. Ducati in great shape with Martin and Zarco on the podium and Marini fourth. Fifth Binder ahead of A. Espargarò sixth and seventh Miller. Bezzecchi finished eighth, ahead of the stoic Bastianini on his return from injury. Morbidelli finished 10th, then Di Giannantonio 14th and Michele Pirro 16th.
