After several weeks of intrigue, Real Madrid announced this Monday the renewal of Luke Modric for one more season, until June 30, 2024. The Croatian midfielder has finally decided to ignore the millionaire siren songs coming from Saudi Arabia to extend his relationship with the white club for one more year.
He Real Madrid thus ensuring the continuity of one of the greatest legends in its recent history, Ballon d’Or in 2018 and a footballer who, as the club recalls, “in his eleven seasons defending our shirt he has played 488 games and won 23 titles: 5 Champions League, 5 Club World Cups, 4 European Super Cups, 3 Leagues, 2 Copas del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups”.
Saudi Arabia’s offer to Modric
Close to 38 years old (he turns in September), Modric has finally chosen to extend his competitive life in Europe, despite the fact that Saudi Arabia put him 120 million euros on the tablean amount that is close to (if not more than) the total money he has earned in his sports career at Dinamo Zagreb, Tottenham and Real Madrid.
