On Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 July, the great medieval fencing and archery tournament with ancient archery will take place in the Lancia Park of Testona, Moncalieri, now in its 13th edition. The event is organized by the Historical and Cultural Volunteer Association “Order of the Phoenix Templars of St. Egidio ODV”. Historical re-enactments with armored battles and fights, horse shows, musicians and fire juggling to fully experience the mysterious medieval atmosphere.
Two-day programme
It begins Saturday 1st July at 10 am with the traveling Regional Tournament of ancient archery, with the first rounds. To follow, there will be the National SSC Tournament (sword-soft-combat) until the bitter end. At 12:30 lunch is scheduled with a mini-break open to all those present. Activities resume at 3pm with two appointments: the thirteenth-century touch tournament and the full contact armor combat tournament, for the Italian Championship valid for National Ranking. At 20 there will be the possibility to stop for dinner with a maxi barbecue.
Sunday 3 July the historical re-enactment with the Battle of the historical groups will begin at 11:00 and after the lunch open to all citizens, the event will continue with the finals of the ancient archery tournament, the thirteenth-century touch tournament and the HMB full contact armor combat tournament.
