The Latvian junior team won gold medals, the women’s team won silver medals, and in the prestigious Open team category, the Latvian team won first place, thus receiving gold medals.
In the individual stages of the competition, Latvian representatives had no less success. In the junior category, Toms Baumanis won a silver medal, in the women’s category, our athlete Krista Annija Lagzdiņa triumphed and received a gold medal, but in the U13 individual category, two of our athletes met in the final, where Rainers Neija beat Henrijas Prokuratova, giving Latvia gold and silver, respectively.
The veteran team also had a successful start, where Salvis Skarainis won the bronze, while the veterans won the high 5th place in the team competition. In one of the most important categories in the OPEN individual competition, our Rainers Kalniņš took second place, winning a silver medal.
