Football Kladno said goodbye to the season with a clear win over Cheb, which condemned them to fall to the regional championship. But what will happen next at the Kladno club? The third place in division B does not take leadership as a success, the club was thinking of advancing to the ČFL.

Cheb needed a win to have a chance to save, and when he survived two chances from the home side and Eisenreich sent him into the lead from the first serious action, it looked like he might consider it. But the home team very quickly equalized with Snoble and led 3:1 at half time. West Bohemia was clearly outplaying and ended Procházek with Čížek with a goal.
When after the break Procházka paved a luxurious lane for Kafka and his lob ended up in the goal for 4:1, no one had any doubts since the home win and Cheb’s downfall, but it was not yet clear. The guests had several chances and they used two. In the 79th minute, they tried to attack again, and the home team started calling: Fight for Kladno!
The players obeyed and calmed down their rivals from Slané, for whom they actually fought, with two long-range shots. The goals were scored by excellent centers from Čížek and Blažek, and goalkeepers Slabý and then Dostál finished with violins.
“We wanted to say goodbye with a win. Although we conceded three goals, we scored six, that’s nice. In terms of scored goals, we are the best in the competition, at least something,” assessed Kladno coach Jan Procházka.
Overall, he was not completely satisfied during the season, even though the team moved up one place and is third. “We wanted more, but especially in the fall there were matches that we regret and then it’s hard to chase. Our performances were quite uneven, the two opponents were better in this,” Procházka claims.
He still believes that a team consisting practically only of the club’s graduates can play for promotion to the ČFL. “Whatever anyone says, those boys are quality footballers. Nobody beat us in the games we lost. It’s just that we always made a gross mistake and the opponent punished it. And if we had, for example, a league player in the lineup, it would have turned out the same,” thinks coach Kladna.
However, whether he will continue to be the team’s coach is not entirely clear after the speculations of recent weeks. “I don’t know what will happen, whether we will be here or not. If so, preparation will start on July 12, but we’ll see how it pans out. Hopefully it won’t take long, there isn’t that much time until the start of the season,” added Jan Procházka.
